Hello outside world!
We don’t have to much to say about this stay so far. A lot is still very up in the air as far as if we will get a new line or port placed and what our goals for getting home are. For now, we are settling in for awhile!
After increasing his blood thinner dose pretty considerably over the weekend, easton had an ultrasound to recheck the new clot in his arm. It looks as though the clot has not grown more, so that is a good thing! However, the clotting is concerning and potentially dangerous if not very well controlled.
We we tried to increase Easton’s J tube feeds and that ended in a lot of puking, so we are trying a medication that we tried a few months ago. Seeing if time has changed things, which can frequently be the case with CMV kiddos.
We will see what tonight holds, Easton is running a low fever and is pretty tired and crabby. We are hoping for a chill night! He would just like to lay in his bed and watch Moana... so that’s what we will do!
We did have some things brighten this stay so far! We got free hats and hot chocolates from Love Your Melon, have met some nice people on the floor to walk laps with, and some Wild players were in the building today (although Easton slept through that!). Easton really liked his Nursing Assistant today! They even went for a walk together while I took care of a few outside the hospital issues!
Thank you all for your continued support! Easton says he loves you! 💕
